One of our Preston injury lawyers recently completed a compensation claim for a whiplash injury caused by a road traffic accident. It’s a common misconception that a person can’t claim for whiplash anymore because of reforms occurring at the Ministry of Justice.

However, people can claim for neck injuries. The content availble online and via social media can confuse this issue. As long as the injury was non-fault and it occurred in the last three years, the reforms at the Ministry are not stopping this process.

The Claimant in question was a passenger in a vehicle when it was hit in the rear by another car. The collision took place at some speed. He suffered a whiplash injury to his neck. There are different degrees of whiplash injury, yet it can be a painful experience and not even seem to be a severe injury at the time.
